THIS absolutely disgusts me. I CAN NOT believe that school officials would let this go this far. WAKE UP AND PAY ATTENTION! What is wrong with people today that think that bullying will just go away and that a little bit of it will only make someone stronger. Yes they may be right about that part, but where do we draw the line between a little bit and too much.. and who decides this? Hopefully not the officials who think it is no big deal.
I can't help but wonder if part of this has to do with the fact that all of our schools are losing their funding and education is just being pushed to the side as if it is not important when in fact it is. Are they just giving up on caring about students because our government is giving up on them? I honestly think that could have something to do with it, but not completely. Bullying has been going on longer than the education crisis has, so to speak. Kids deserve to have the right to an education and a safe one at that. What does this make our country look like to others if someone comes here from another country, puts their child into our supposedly safe school system, and then they are harmed to the point that they take their own life. I am happy that Massachusetts passed an anti-bullying legislation and I wish every state could follow this, but how far do you think they will take it? What good could it possibly do to have a law against it when the school officials do not even follow their own rules placed within the school system.
Everyone has been bullied in their life, some just take it differently. But I know how it feels. I have a very close relative of mine that I will not say the relationship or the details, but they are bullied at school and the school officials here locally also think that it is NO BIG DEAL!! Are you kidding me? When this person gets picked on, on the bus to school, before school, at school, after school, and on the bus home from school ranging from being pushed into walls and lockers, tripped in the hallway, made fun of, insulted, and having things thrown at them, including rocks that have hit their eye, it makes me wonder when they school officials will decide enough is enough and put a stop to it. I am so close to going to the school and taking matters into my own hands. If this were to happen to this person after it becoming too much for them, you will never have seen me more upset in my life!
At what point are the parents allowed to talk to police officials and have them step in? Hopefully that new legislation would help with that. And hopefully we can get that same law passed here in Illinois before we have another victim.

Stupid Criminals
I saw this and thought about all of the stupid criminals in this world. If you are just getting a minor traffic violation why on earth would you want to make it any worse? I would rather have just one $75 ticket than a few more charges and fines on my record. I thought this was absolutely hilarious and I believe it is called Karma.

It's been a while..
It's been about 3 months since my last blog. At that time I stated my first travel destination was Ireland, well it turned out that I was wrong. I actually just got back from Florida 4 days ago. It was a lot of fun and I wouldn't mind living there. I suppose I do need to finish all of my school first. I would like to look into some internships down there in the mean time. We'll see where my road takes me. I learned a lot about myself and other things during this trip and I can't wait to go back in August! Today is my first day back to work.. which they say is the hardest. Well whoever "they" is, is definitely correct. It really hasn't been too bad of a day yet, just very slow. Lots to do later.. can't wait to get it going!
